Rare Futures Unveil Magnetizing Tune “This Is Your Future” via Rock Sound

NEW YORK, NY | March 09, 2016 – From side project to primary mission, the radically innovative Rare Futures are gearing up to revitalize today’s music scene. The experimental indie rock outfit fronted by multi-instrumentalist Matt Fazzi (ex Taking Back Sunday, Atlas Genius) is set to unleash their long-awaited album on March 25, but not without revealing something new for their loyal fans.

“At the time when I wrote “This Is Your Future,” I was dealing with starting over and finding my identity again as a musician and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay on the same path or say goodbye to my passion to find a new direction because my previous experiences had been so taxing,” explains Fazzi. “I needed something to lift me up and shake off the negative energy that I was carrying, and the mantra that kept coming back to me was, “this is your future, don’t just throw it all away” which I then built the rest of the song around. The message when I listen back to the song is simple: YOU are the keeper and controller of your own destiny, nobody is responsible for your happiness but you.”

Rare Futures was born from Fazzi’s desire to use knowledge from all previous experiences to forge a new sonic path, and appropriately so, the band’s latest track titled “This Is Your Future” features the musical styling of fellow Taking Back Sunday-alum Matt Rubano. The ambient and entrancing song combines past and future to create a song full of heavy rock rhythm, Motown soul, and 80’s synthesizers fit to thrill listeners here in the present. Today, Rare Futures are teaming up with Rock Sound to share “This Is Your Future,” which you can listen to here – http://www.rocksound.tv/features/read/this-new-rare-futures-song-is-the-most-motivating-thing-youll-hear-all-day
